Our Take On The 2023 Kastle ZX100:

The brand-new Kastle ZX100 takes away any reasons avid all-mountain skiers had for not skiing on Kastles. Born, like all Kastles, of race-room sensibilities and premium materials, the ZX100 promises quality, speed, and durability. Unlike longer-tenured Kastle models, namely the MX and FX, the ZX series comes in at lower price points with more freeride, fun-loving flavor. This is an all-mountain ski that wants to slice and dice tree alleys, flow through mogul lines and back bowls, and huck airs just as bad as it wants to rip groomed runs. The same can be said of the new FX skis, sure, but if you don’t care about metal and want to save a few bucks without compromising versatility, or if you just prefer a more playful feel, the ZX100 is the way to go. Did we mention versatility? Well, these skis appeal equally to the strong dad skier who wants a bit more of a forgiving ride than he got with those stout 200cm skis as they do to his Snapchat-wielding son. A strong choice for stoked intermediate skiers and experts alike, the ZX100 is one of our favorite new skis for the 2021-2022 ski season. Similar skis: Blizzard Rustler 10, Head Kore 99, Stockli Stormrider 102.
