Atomic realized a few years ago that "all-mountain" skiing meant something different in North America than it did in Europe, and set out testing and getting feedback from a diverse group of skiers in the US and Canada (our local hangout, Crystal Mountain, was one of the venues). Skiers wanted not only strong edgehold and confidence on-piste, but the ability to bust out some moves past the backcountry gate or in the trees should the day warrant it - and the Atomic Maverick 88 Ti Skis was one of the stars of the testing sessions. With a light and nimble construction backed up with a bit of Titanal, a Dura Cap Sidewall for direct-to-edge power that still resists chipping at the tips and tails, and an All Mountain Rocker with only a whisper of tail rocker, the Maverick 88 Ti goes head to head with the dedicated "carver" group, but does so much more.
